The promotion lifecycle
Every Amplify promotion moves through the same six steps. You can track each one from the activity timeline on your Amplify dashboard.- Request sent: Either a Sponsor or a Publisher starts the conversation by sending a promotion request. The recipient has 7 days to send their first response before the request automatically expires (see Request expiration below).
- Recipient reviews: The recipient can approve the request as-is, suggest ad copy changes, or cancel.
- Ad copy changes (optional): Either party can suggest changes to the ad copy to better suit the audience. The other party can accept or counter. This continues until both sides align.
- Sponsor pays: Once approved, a Stripe invoice is generated. The Sponsor pays through Stripe Checkout and the ad copy is finalized for the promotion.
- Publisher runs the promotion: When the Publisher is ready, they open the Email Broadcast editor and add a Sponsored block. The agreed-upon ad copy and image (if any) pull in automatically. The Publisher can customize the block’s fonts, colors, padding, and placement to match their email.

- Publisher gets paid: Payout is issued through Stripe 14 days after the promotion is sent.
Note: Publishers are automatically paid if they deliver to 99% or more of the agreed-upon audience size. If delivery is below 99%, Kajabi handles payout on a case-by-case basis.
Customize ad copy and CTA URL per Publisher
When sending a promotion request, Sponsors can tailor their ad copy and destination URL for each Publisher before the request goes out. This lets you match your messaging to a specific Publisher’s audience without changing your default campaign.- Start a promotion request by searching for your preferred Publisher and clicking View, then Send Request.
- Click Customize ad copy.
- Edit any of the following for this request only:
- Headline
- Body
- Call to action
- Destination URL
- Custom message (optional — a personal note to the Publisher)
- Send the request.

Note: The customized copy applies only to that request. Your default campaign settings stay intact for future requests.
Note: Email notifications for ad copy change requests include any updates to the destination URL.
Add or change the promotion image
Sponsors can include an optional image on a promotion. Images appear above the headline in the Sponsored block and can improve click-through rate. As a Sponsor, you can set a default image on your ad campaign in Settings > Ad Campaign, or attach a one-off image to a specific request:- Start a promotion request and click Customize ad copy.
- Upload a new image, swap your default, or remove the image for this request under Image.
- Send the request.

Note: Accepted formats are JPG and PNG, 5MB max. Images are cropped to a 1.91:1 aspect ratio (the standard wide ad format) and must be at least 560 x 293px to avoid blurring.
- Accept the image the Sponsor included
- Request a different image. The current image is removed and the Sponsor can upload a new one or send without an image
- Request no image. The Sponsor cannot upload an image for this promotion. They can choose to continue without an image or cancel.
Chat about a promotion
Every promotion has its own chat thread so Publishers and Sponsors can discuss copy, timing, or anything else without leaving Amplify or exchanging personal emails. Chat lives on the right sidebar of the promotion detail page, below the profile card.- Chat opens as soon as a request is sent; both sides can message before approval.
- Messages are text-only, up to 2,000 characters each.
- A Seen label appears below the most recent message once the other party has read it.
- Unread messages show as a red indicator on the promotion row in Recent Activity and on the Promotions tab, so you can spot new messages at a glance.
Note: The current version of Amplify does not support chat attachments, file uploads, or emojis.
Note: Each promotion has its own chat thread. If you have multiple promotions with the same expert, you’ll have a separate thread for each. Amplify chat is for promotion-related discussion only — there is no general inbox or contact list.
Request expiration
Promotion requests automatically expire if the recipient doesn’t respond within 7 days. The countdown starts when the request is sent and stops as soon as a first response is given — approving, suggesting changes, or cancelling. While the countdown is active:- On the Home and Promotions pages (In Progress tab), each pending request shows the number of days left to respond.
- On the promotion detail page, a message next to the New badge reads: “Respond by [date] to keep active. New requests expire within 7 days without a first response.”
- The request email includes the response deadline.
Note: Only the first response stops the countdown. Once a request has moved into copy review or beyond, it will not auto-expire.
Preview the promotion email
After a Publisher sends the promotion, Sponsors automatically receive a preview of the email that was sent. To send yourself a preview at any time:- Navigate to the Promotions tab.
- Click View next to the Published promotion that you would like to preview.
- Click Send preview.

Note: Previews go only to the Amplify user who requested them. Any clicks on links inside preview emails are excluded from the promotion’s Opens and Clicks stats, so previewing won’t skew your performance numbers.
Track promotion performance
Once a promotion is live, you can see Opens and Clicks from the promotion detail view. Amplify automatically appends UTM parameters to the destination URL so Sponsors can track performance in their own analytics tools:Email notifications
Amplify emails both parties at each stage of the lifecycle, including when:- A promotion request is sent
- Ad copy changes are requested
- A promotion is approved and it’s time for the Sponsor to pay
- Payment is completed and it’s time for the Publisher to run the promotion
- The promotion has been sent and performance reports are available
- The Publisher receives their payout
- The promotion has been sent (Sponsors automatically receive a preview of the sent email)
Cancel a request
Either party can cancel a request at any time. If a promotion is cancelled after payment but before the email is sent, the Sponsor is automatically refunded.Note: If the promotion has already been sent, email amplifypayments@kajabi.com to request a refund.
Add a cancellation reason
When cancelling a request before it sends, you can optionally include a reason. The reason appears on the promotion timeline for both parties and is included in the cancellation email along with the latest version of the ad preview, so the other party understands what happened. Adding a reason is optional but recommended.Reviews and ratings
After every promotion is published, both the Publisher and the Sponsor can leave a 1–5 star rating and an optional written comment (up to 500 characters). Reviews build trust on the network and help other experts decide who to work with.Leave a review
- Navigate to the Published tab from Promotions and click View next to the promotion you would like to review. You can also click Leave a review in the delivery confirmation email.
- Select a rating from 1 to 5 stars.
- Add an optional written comment.
- Click Submit review when done.

How reviews display
A profile’s star average appears publicly only after 3 completed reviews. Once visible, reviews show as a star average alongside the total review count. Written comments display in reverse chronological order on the Reviews tab of the profile detail view. Profiles in the directory can be sorted by Ratings: High to Low or Ratings: Low to High.Note: There is only one review per profile, even if multiple users share access to that profile. Anyone with access can add or update that single review.
