Are Podcasts part of Kajabi at no extra cost to me?
Yes. Podcasts are included in your Kajabi plan at no extra cost. Each podcast (not individual episodes) counts as one product toward your plan’s product limit.Can I create a private, paid podcast on Kajabi?
Yes. Kajabi supports both public and private podcasts. A private podcast is restricted to customers who have purchased an Offer connected to the podcast, making it a great way to monetize premium audio content.Can I switch between public and private Podcasts?
No. You cannot transfer a public podcast to a private podcast or vice versa.Can I host my podcast on Kajabi and distribute it to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and other platforms?
Yes. Kajabi generates an RSS feed for your podcast that you can submit to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and other major directories. Most other podcast platforms also pull from these two, but if you want to guarantee your podcast shows up on a specific platform, you can submit your RSS feed directly. Note that the update process is handled by each third-party platform and can take a few hours to populate.Can I move my existing podcast to Kajabi?
Yes. Kajabi has an import feature that pulls all episodes from your current RSS feed and creates a podcast on the platform. Keep your existing host running for a couple of weeks while you request Apple, Google, and Spotify to redirect to your new Kajabi RSS feed.Why can’t I import my Podcast and make it private?
Importing a podcast and making it private is not currently available due to privacy and monetization concerns around content ownership verification.Why aren’t all of my podcast episodes appearing on my podcast import?
Double-check your RSS feed to ensure all episodes are included in it before importing.Are there any storage or episode limits with Kajabi Podcasts?
There is no limit on the number of episodes you can upload. Each episode file has a maximum size of 250MB. Only the podcast itself (not individual episodes) counts toward your product quota.What file types does Kajabi support for Podcasts?
For direct uploads, Kajabi supports MP3 only. For existing podcasts imported via the importer, Kajabi also accepts M4A files, which are then converted to MP3.Who owns the content I upload to Podcasts?
You do. Kajabi hosts your content on its servers to distribute it to your audience, but ownership remains entirely yours.Can I upload transcripts to my podcast episodes?
Yes. Transcript files must be in TXT format, under 2MB, and encoded using the UTF-8 character set. Most text editors (TextEdit on Mac, Notepad on PC) default to UTF-8. If you encounter upload errors after meeting all requirements, check your editor’s encoding settings or paste the text into a new TXT file.Will my podcast show up in search results?
Yes. Kajabi’s podcast channel and episode pages are properly tagged with SEO metadata and render on the HTML page, so they can be indexed by search engines. This includes the podcast page, episode page, and episode transcript file.Is Kajabi Podcasts IAB certified?
No, Kajabi is not IAB certified.Can I edit my podcast feed page?
No. The feed page is a default page that uses your podcast name as the URL slug (e.g.,https://yourdomain.com/podcasts/your-podcast-name) and cannot be edited.
Can I display recent podcast episodes on my Kajabi website or landing page?
Not currently. Sharing podcast feeds as an element or card feature is not available at this time.Can I embed my Kajabi podcast player on an external website?
No. Kajabi does not currently provide an embed code for external sites.Can my customers listen to my private podcast on the Kajabi mobile app?
Yes. Customers can listen to private podcast episodes through the Kajabi mobile app on version 2.8.0 or higher.Does Kajabi only syndicate to Apple and Spotify?
Most other Podcast platforms pull from these two major platforms. However, if you want to guarantee that your podcast shows up on a specific platform, you can direct your RSS feed toward that platform.Note: The process of updating your Podcasts in a distribution location is the responsibility of each third-party platform. Therefore, your Podcasts will be made available according to the standards set by the third-party platform used and can take a few hours to populate.
