Below you will find common questions about taxes on your Kajabi subscription, including how tax is calculated and how to enter your tax ID for exemption verification.
Why am I being charged tax?
Kajabi collects tax based on applicable laws. Kajabi calculates the exact tax for each account and includes it in the invoice.
All references to tax in this article, as it relates to your Kajabi subscription, refer to applicable sales tax, VAT, or GST.
How is tax calculated?
Tax will be calculated based on the billing address listed on your account. Tax rates vary by location. You can find the amount of tax charged on your Kajabi subscription as a separate line item on your monthly invoice.
What if my organization is exempt from taxes?
Some nonprofit, charitable, religious, scientific, or educational organizations may be exempt from tax.
If you would like to apply for tax exemption, contact our support team and provide your exemption certificate.
If you have a tax number, you may submit it for verification to become tax exempt.

To enter your tax number into Kajabi for validation:
- Go to Settings > Subscription & Billing.
- Click on the Billing tab.
- Under Billing info, click Edit details.
