Lower pricing for Australia card transactions starting 1 October 2026.

Overview

Kajabi Payments is lowering card fees for Australian heroes. The Reserve Bank of Australia is reducing the caps on interchange fees for card transactions, and we’re passing these savings on to you. We are decreasing our Australian card processing fees on two dates:
  • 1 October 2026: domestic card processing fees decrease by 0.05%.
  • 1 April 2027: international card fees decrease by 0.70%.
These changes also apply to Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link.

Domestic card rates

These apply when the customer’s card was issued in Australia.

International card rates

These apply when the customer’s card was issued outside Australia. * Your international rate is made up of two line items on your transaction details: a card processing fee and an international fee. On 1 October, the card processing fee decreases and the international fee increases by the same amount, so your total international rate doesn’t change. It stays at its current rate until 1 April 2027, when it drops. For more information on fees please see Kajabi Payments Fees: Australia for a full breakdown.

FAQ

Are these fee decreases applicable to my Kajabi payments account?

Only if your Kajabi Payments account is registered in Australia. These rate changes are tied to your Kajabi Payments account’s country of registration. If your Kajabi Payments account is set up in another country, these changes don’t apply to you, even if you sell to Australian customers.

Why are these rates decreasing?

The Reserve Bank of Australia is lowering the caps on interchange fees that card networks and issuers can charge, and we’re passing these savings on to you.

Will my international rate change in October?

No, your total international rate stays the same. What changes is how it’s broken down: your transaction details show a card processing fee and an international fee separately, and on 1 October the card processing fee goes down while the international fee goes up by the same amount. Your total international rate won’t actually decrease until 1 April 2027.

Do I need to do anything?

No. Both changes apply automatically on or before their effective dates.
