When you sell a Course and a Community in the same Offer, customers often need to hop between the two. A sidebar link makes that a single click. Add the link as a custom block in your Course sidebar, and you can point the other way too by adding a Course link inside your Community.

Copy the Community URL

  1. From your dashboard, select the Products tab.
  2. Select the Community tab.
  3. Click the Go to Community link next to your Community name. Your Community opens in a new browser tab.
  4. Navigate to the Community page you want to link.
  5. Copy the URL from your browser’s address bar. With the URL copied, return to Kajabi to add it to your Course.
  1. Return to the browser tab where you’re logged in to Kajabi.
  2. From your dashboard, select Courses in the left sidebar, then open the Course where you want to add the link.
  3. Select the Customize tab.
  4. Hover over the Course template image and select Customize.
  5. In the left sidebar of the template editor, click Product Sidebar.
  6. Click Add block.
  7. Add information about your Community, such as a Heading, Image, and Content.
  8. In the CTA Text field, enter a label that makes clear the button opens your Community.
  9. In the first CTA field, select Go to a URL, then paste the Community URL into the field below.
  10. (Optional) Select the Open in New Window checkbox to open the Community in a new browser tab.
  11. Style and size the CTA button as desired.
  12. Click Save.
Note: If you’re using the Momentum course template, select Dashboard Sidebar instead of Product Sidebar, click Add Content, then select Card as the content type.

Add a Course to a Community sidebar

You’ve just added a Community link inside a Course, and you can point the other way too. Add your Course as a custom page to give members a link to it from your Community’s left sidebar, which is useful for promoting your other programs or sending members back to their lessons without leaving the Community. Because Kajabi lets you choose a Product as the page source, you can point straight at your Course without copying a link.

Create the custom page

  1. From your Community, click the more actions (…) menu next to the search bar.
  2. Select Create New > Custom Page.
  3. Enter a Name for the custom page. This is how it appears in your Community navigation.
  4. Set Source to Product, then select your Course from the dropdown below it.
  5. Toggle on Open link in new tab so the Course opens correctly, since it requires members to log in.
  6. Set the Access Group that should see the page.
  7. Click Save.
Note: Only members in the Access Group you assign can see the custom page. Choose the group whose members should have access to that Course.
